Writing Prompts: Paranormal Novel Ideas Set in the Roaring Twenties:

After reading the first book in two current YA historical series set in the Roaring Twenties, "Bright Young Things" series by Anna Godbersen, and "The Flappers" series by Jillian Larkin, I was eager for more stories set in this era, but ones with a paranormal twist.

Here are some ideas I have for paranormal stories set in 1920s:

1.  A flapper wannabe gets more than she bargains for when she bluffs her way into the most exclusive speakeasy in Chicago.  But to her horror, instead of serving illegal alcohol, it serves fresh blood for vampires.  Will she make it out alive?

2.  One night siren working as a club singer in New York enthralls everyone in the audience, except for one man, who barely even glances at her while she sings.  He starts coming to the club each night, and the less attention he pays to her, the more she wants him.   Will she get the one man she cannot have?  Why is he immune to her charms?

3. Some teenage girls sneak out to go to a new speakeasy they heard rumours about at school.  They all try a new cocktail that the proprietor says is "on the house".  It tastes a little strange, but none of them think anything of it until the next morning when they wake up and find ....

Have you read any paranormal fiction set in the 1920s or heard about any new ones?  Please share them by adding a comment below.
