Book Picks: Be Enthralled by "Enthralled" (Melissa Marr, Kelley Armstrong, Carrie Ryan and others)

I highly recommend this anthology, which includes short stories by various authors from the 2010 and 2011 "Smart Chicks Kick It" tour.

Most of the tales are paranormal stories, but one of the best stories is Carrie Ryan's "Scenic Route" which takes place in the same dystopian world as her "Forest of Hands and Teeth" series.

My only complaint is that some of the stories, such as Claudia Gray's "Giovanni's Farewell" left me wanting more.  The good news is that many of the stories include characters found in other books, so you can always read those novels if you haven't already.

For example, Rachel Caine's "Automatic" features Michael and his girlfriend, Eve, from her Morganville Vampire series, and Rachel Vincent's "Niederwald"includes characters from her Soul Screamers series.

However I wouldn't advise reading Melissa Marr's "Merely Mortal", which is about Keenan and Donia,  until you've read her Wicked Lovely series (for which a movie is currently in development by Universal Pictures), because it contains spoilers.
